The Francis Hopkinson Society is an educational organization dedicated to the study and appreciation of the life and works of Francis Hopkinson and his times. Founded in 2015, the society aims to mobilize research amongst scholars and researchers and between them and the general public intersecting through axes of education, history, literature, music, art, design, science, philosophy, politics, and humor in the Hopkinson manner--with rigor, wit, congeniality, and compassion.
Members are currently working on a comprehensive bibliography of the writings of Hopkinson and publications about him and his work. In addition, the society's collections will be digitized and made available for the public. Additional materials and links will also be made available soon and distributed in our inaugural newsletter.
The society is currently building an Advisory Board to supervise its operations and drafting a set of by-laws. Those interested in joining the society or serving on the Board should contact the current members through the Contact form.
